FatCoupon is a curated deal website, iOS app, Android app, and Google Chrome extension that automatically applies really good coupon codes at checkout. Our goal is to become one of the biggest shopping destinations in the world.

We’re looking for a full-time Head of SEO to work with our engineering and content teams to provide guidance and hands-on work to put our best foot forward with Google, Bing, and more importantly, our users.

You are an expert SEO with the ability to personally complete SEO work in the following areas, in addition to standard on-page and off-page SEO expertise.

SEO Responsibilities

• Server log analysis
• Ecommerce SEO for 100,000+ page websites - FatCoupon.com currently has 1,000,000 pages and eventually we will have tens of millions of pages.
• Link building
• Expert level understanding of:
• Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, Optimize
• Bing Webmaster Tools, API Submission Tool
• SEO Analysis tools like Screaming Frog, AHref’s, SEMRush, etc.,

Monthly deliverables to start:

• SERP Analysis
• Website Audit
• Comprehensive SEO Plan including scopes of work
• Competitor analysis of top competitors (JoinHoney.com, Lyst.com, ShopStyle.com)
• Server log analysis
• Keyword research
• Establish a reporting system to track organic performance progress
• What else?

FatCoupon is a unique and exciting concept; our surge in user acquisition has provided some proof of concept, now we want to do more to demonstrate to Google that we are a user-first company and that all of our pages are of value. Obviously - we’re okay to adjust this approach based on your expert experience.

FatCoupon is like a hybrid of the Honey Chrome extension and Lyst.com (a curated fashion website). We’re organizing all of the internet’s products, but also applying a special, FatCoupon price.

Working with FatCoupon

• Candidates must be in the Portland, Oregon metro area and able to come to the Tualatin office 2-3 times per week.
• Must be willing to work some evenings to correspond directly with our engineering team who are overseas.
• Our goal is to build one of the top shopping/deal apps in the world. You will be a key person to help us get there.
